Commission as sergeant of a company of artillery under the command of Lyman Morse in the 1st brigade, 6th division of militia. Signed by Major Joel Gleason, 2 October 1821. Verso has note signed by Lymon Morse that Plimpton took the required oaths. Second document is a commission as Lieutenant of a company in a battalion of artillery, 1st brigade, 6th division of the militia. Signed by Governor William Eustis and Secretary Alden Bradford, 16 September 1823. Verso has note dated 10 June 1825 by Eber D. Ammidown, Justice of the Peace, that Plympton took the required oaths.
